War on Drugs

I am kind of stuck in between if we should legalize drugs or not because there are posative effects for both. Drugs do have alot of harmful effects on people but them being illigal has been a main cause for crime. Also, alot of are jails are being over crowded because of the people that have been locked up for possesion and other crimes that were related to their drug use. But if they were legal people might think that it is safe for them to use it. But whatever happens i feel that there has to be some sort of compromise between the people that want drugs to be legal and those who want them to be illegal. So i am not really sure where i stand on this issue so you can decide for yourself.
